This one-of-a-kind bushcraft knife carries the spirit of enduring vision—where early settlers planted redwoods in the Wairarapa landscape, knowing the trees would outlive them and become part of a lasting inheritance for the land and future generations.
Benjamin handcrafted this elegant bushcraft knife using feathery damascus, forged from 15N20 and 1084 steels to create its distinctive flowing pattern and superior edge-holding performance.
The handle blends sandcast bronze with shimmering curly redwood sourced from the Wairarapa region—likely descended from the impressive late-1800s plantings that have long graced the area—delivering a warm, richly toned grip with outstanding moisture resistance and durability thanks to the stabilisation process.
This truly one-of-a-kind piece is completed with a custom belt sheath handcrafted by Marisa from vegetable-tanned leather. Dyed in a deep ochre-brown, it showcases a hand-embossed Northern Star motif elegantly accented with 24k gold leaf gilding for a refined, heirloom-quality finish.
The Legacy Puukko is a provenance-driven bushcraft essential—forged from Wairarapa's enduring redwood forests, sandcast bronze, and Benjamin's anvil: rooted in regional history, built to endure, and ready for the trail.
Overall length sheathed: 194mm
