The materials for this knife rested against the historic Opaki Racecourse stables for more than a century, untouched as motorised vehicles with wheels of alloy and tyre's of rubber roared past and the seasons flashed by. Then, one fateful day Benjamin came along and everything changed...

Benjamin hand-forged 80CrV2 steel clad in wrought iron salvaged from a colonial wagon wheel, forged by blacksmiths to endure farm tracks and race-day hauls. The handle and custom display stand he shaped from the original weathered hardwood spoke.

A revival of horse-powered heritage for the modern kitchen.
